Graves Farm Wildlife Sanctuary

Description: For over 125 years, this property was managed as a dairy farm. This property is now owned by Mass Audubon, the largest conservation organization in New England protecting nature for wildlife. A figure-eight trail of about 2 miles leads from the parking area, skirts along a field, and into a mixed forest. The trail crosses Nonnie Day Brook on stepping stones and features some interesting boulders and spectacular pine, oak and beech trees. Public programs are scheduled for the property each season through Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton. To avoid conflicts with programs and wildlife, no motorized vehicles, bicycles, horses or dogs are permitted in the Graves Farm Wildlife Sanctuary.

Location: Take Depot Road from Rte. 9 to the first intersection. Go right onto Adams Road for 0.6 mile. A small parking lot is on the south side of the road at the Mass Audubon sign.
